QPR Suicide Prevention Training

QPR Training is a Suicide Prevention Training that is delivered through ROC by qualified facilitators.

QPR stands for Question, Persuade and Refer and teaches 3 simple steps anyone can learn to help save a life from suicide.

  • Recongise the warning signs of suicide.

  • Offer hope to someone who may be in crisis.

  • Refer on to appropriate support services.

Requirements to host a training include:

  • Minimum 6 participants (16 years & over).

  • An appropriate private space for 2 staff members to present.

  • A blank wall to project on (ROC provide projector if required) or an appropriate TV screen.

  • Seating.

This 1 hour session can be done face to face, in groups, or online (via Zoom). We also offer after-hour training sessions so that we can work with your needs. On completion of the training, we provide a certificate and QPR Resource pack for proof of training.
