Open Parachute was founded by Dr Hayley Watson and is supported by the Guy Sebastian Foundation.

This program is currently being delivered to St Mary’s Batlow and Batlow Technology by our Rural Outreach Counselling team.

Engaging Lesson Topics that map onto ACARA, NSW PDHPE, and Child Protection Curriculum Guidelines.

This is a unique program designed for school students from Kindergarten through to year 12. At each Year level there are 7 topic areas that are developmentally appropriate and teach practical mental health skills related to issues such as:

  • Friendship challenges

  • Bullying

  • Family Struggles

  • Coping with Loss

  • Addictive Patterns

  • Self-Esteem

  • Communication

  • Trauma

  • Challenges with COVID & Isolation

  • School Stress

  • Social Media & Body Image

  • Issues of Consent

  • Emotional Awareness & Empathy

  • Acting Out
